The first historical data on the area of the current Caballito neighborhood dates back to the titles given by Governor Hernandarias at the beginning of the 17th century, distributing various lands in the place to Captains Don Pedro Hurtado de Mendoza, Don Diego de Trigueros and Don Domingo Griveo, to Councilor Don Juan de Vergara and Don Bernardo de León, who probably never saw these properties in their entire lives.
